Financial Aid Resources

To apply for federal student aid, such as federal grants, loans, and work-study, you need to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Completing and submitting the FAFSA is free and easier than ever, and it gives you access to the largest source of financial aid to pay for college. In addition, many states and colleges use your FAFSA information to determine your eligibility for state and school aid (scholarships), and some private financial aid providers may use your FAFSA information to determine whether you qualify for their aid.

Click Here for an overview of the FAFSA process.  See below for more information and resources.

Step One: FSA ID

Every student and their parent(s) must register for their own FSA ID in order to complete the FAFSA. It is a best to go ahead and create this before filling out the FAFSA. Click Here for more information regarding a FSA ID.

Step Two: FAFSA

The FAFSA is open and ready to complete October 1, 2016. Once you and your parent(s) have created a FSA ID, go ahead and get started on the FAFSA. Click Here for a list of necessary documents.

Step Three: Student Aid Report

After you have successfully completed AND signed your FAFSA, within the next few days, you will receive a Student Aid Report (SAR). Here you will find your Expected Family Contribution (EFC). Schools that you listed on the FAFSA will use this report in order to determine financial aid.
